The Next Piece of the Journey - Over 20 Years in the Making

Hey there!

I’m always up for a good field trip, and this is the best one yet!

I wouldn’t have dreamed it was even in the cards, but The Shun Four will be heading to Italy in just under a month to meet and spend time with our Italian mosaic artist and family.

While there, we will tour the little village they live in, Spilimbergo, tour the mosaic school, and see the sights (like Murano, where blown glass is made). And, we will see how their production line works when we create a piece with them! 

It is also a part of my bigger dream to create art tours in Italy. While there, we are scouting and sketching the future. (And if you are interested in joining me the next time, be sure to reply and let me know!)

On the personal side of it, it is a joy that our family will experience this together, on foreign soil, for the first time. Across the ocean, in a place where the roots of mosaic art and culture run deep.

We’ve wondered when this day would come but never dreamed that it would be my love for mosaic that would lead the way. I just knew over 20 years ago that a dream was birthed in my heart to share how our lives are like a mosaic and share that in as many arenas as possible.
