But before we reveal it, let me share my heart behind this piece and talk about the core visuals of the cross and the colors.

The Cross

The original cross was very heavy, jagged in nature, raw wood, unsanded, nothing glamorous or comfortable about a cross like this. It likely gave our Savior splinters in his back and tore his skin. Yet as we reflect on that cross, we can also reflect and glory in the fact that He’s no longer there, the work has been done. Because of that finished work, we are invited into the beauty of forgiveness, healing, restoration and freedom that bursts forth from the daily resurrection work in our lives.

This guilded cross represents the how God can take something ordinary and do extraordinary things with it.

Just like He does with you and me. 

If I’m honest, I’ve found it difficult to pull that reality into my modern day over the years. 

This simple symbol of the cross has become more and more precious to me. I believe it more as the years march on. I choose grace and freedom instead of defeat. It’s a reminder that we will share the sufferings of Christ as His children and followers. Whatever we face, whatever is ahead, He has a path. We can believe His promises for life on Earth as it is in Heaven. And fully complete, when we reach our final home.

When life is too hard to bear, let the strength of the Cross hold you up. 

The Colors

This design is simple yet boasts lots of color. The brilliance is blasting out from the sides of the cross, representing victory and breaking forth into New Life. It is a simple and vibrant celebration for the One who gave all for us.
