An Unplanned Devotion, A Delayed Unboxing of Hope Gave All

An Unplanned Devotion

My original plan was to shout out the arrival of Hope Gave All to my community, right on Easter. And if I’m honest, I was disappointed that it didn’t happen the way I planned.

But, as I have moved along, I’ve encouraged myself that as believers in Christ, we get to celebrate Easter every day! We memorialize it once a year, but it’s really something we get to live out with each new day. A fresh start. His mercies are new every morning. I rely on that fact often.

The cross is not an Easter-only cross: It’s an every day, every hour, every minute cross.

Our Easter Weekend

We Shuns traveled over Easter weekend to Illinois, where my side of the family has roots. We got the joy of sharing the piece with a handful of friends and family as a sneak peek. And, we began making deliveries of the pieces here in Nashville after we got back home.

Creating the Unboxing Experience

The presentation and attention to detail in the unboxing experience for each piece is one of my favorite parts to pull together, working out each component. The whole family gets in on it crafting the end result.

The poetry. The back story. The inspiration. The presentation.

Every piece gets a personal touch. Each step is carefully thought out to create an intimate moment where the recipient of the piece can reflect on the beauty and the story.

The purple velvet cradles the piece, carefully wrapped in linen, symbolic of the Savior’s swaddling cloth, and then, His burial cloth.
